Finn Tugwell & Steen Osorio, Managing Director Samskip A/SMajor sponsor of individual and team sports in the company's native Iceland for some years, Samskip made its debut on the international sporting stage recently, when Samskip Logistics began supporting Danish table tennis player Finn Tugwell.

A member of the Køge Bugt club in Denmark, Tugwell, 28, also represents French club Bordeaux. One of the most promising talents to emerge in the sport in Denmark in recent years, he is currently the holder of no less than nine Danish national titles, two of them in singles, and was a bronze medallist at the 2000 European National Champions.

The pinnacle of his career to date, however, came in the men's doubles event at this summer's Athens Olympics, when he helped his country to a bronze medal.

Success, however, comes at a price, which in Tugwell's case means spending up to 150 days each year training and travelling to competitions in countries as far apart as Germany, Denmark, France, Greece, Russia and China.

Finn Tugwell"Samskip Logistics have chosen to sponsor Finn because he is a great talent and totally dedicated to his sport", says Samskip Denmark managing director, Steen Osorio.

"We would like to see him stay at the top and compete with the best in the world, while his high level of international exposure ensures that Samskip Logistics is being presented in a global setting in one of the most positive ways possible."
