Samskip Logistics China and Korea Visit the Qingdao Seafood Expo in Qingdao, China

The Qingdao Seafood Expo recently took place, and the Samskip Logistics China and Korea team was there. Though Samskip Logistics has an extremely diverse business portfolio, Samskip Logistics specializes in temperature-controlled cargo accounting for approximately 60% of their maritime volumes where temperature-controlled seafood is clearly the strongest market segment.





The Qingdao Seafood Expo is the largest annual seafood exhibition in Asia and together with other major seafood exhibitions like in Barcelona and Boston, it is very important to the annual global seafood market. Samskip Logistics has a strong presences and representation at all these major events.





Horace Pan, Samskip Logistics Country Managing Director China, and Danny Cho, Samskip Logistics Country Managing Director for Korea, both attended the Qingdao seafood Exhibition and met with existing and potential customers in the seafood sector.

Our two largest offices in China are located in Qingdao and Dalian, which are two key centers for the Chinese seafood industry. Our office in Korea is located in Busan, close to the center of the seafood industry. It is located around the old seaport in Busan which has many cold stores; all focused on the Korean seafood industry.





Attending the Qingdao Seafood Expo also helped better understand the market dynamics expected for the rest of 2023 and prospects for 2024.
