Nor Lines is reinforcing its own presence along the Norwegian west coast

The Samskip owned, Norwegian domestic transport & distribution company, Nor Lines is reinforcing its own presence along the Norwegian west coast, by acquiring 100% of the shares in the terminal, transport & distribution company Kyst1 AS in Bergen.

Since the acquisition of Nor Lines in 2017, Samskip has invested substantial resources into streamlining and developing the Company, to make it “fit for future”.

Kyst1 has, since 2019, represented Nor Lines as agents in Bergen, and time has now come to reinforce the cooperation and relationship, by fully incorporating the company and its activities with Nor Lines. The transaction is planned to take place by the end of the year.

Are Gråthen, Regional Director – Norway in Samskip says that the investment in Kyst1 by Nor Lines, strengthens the commitment to the Bergen and Norway west coast market, and will accelerate the Company and the Groups ambitions towards even more sustainable domestic transport and distribution going forward.
