Reliability, Defined by You. Delivered by Us.
22 May 2026
While supply chains are evolving quickly, priorities are shifting, global pressures are increasing, and expectations are becoming clearer. So we asked partners, customers and representatives from different industries a simple question; What matters most when choosing a logistics partner?
The answer came back clearly. Reliability.
But reliability can mean different things. So we followed up with one more question. What does reliability look like in practice?
The answer was just as clear. It is not about being the fastest. It is about being consistent. It is about clear communication.
Because when transit times can be trusted, and when communication is timely and transparent, planning becomes possible again. And when planning becomes possible, everything else begins to fall into place. This is what reliability looks like today. And this is exactly where we focus our efforts.
Across our network, reliability is not a concept. It is something we work to deliver, every single day. Over the past months, this has taken shape in many ways.
In Morocco, we recently closed our first full season connecting Agadir to Europe. It was a season that did not begin without challenges, but one that ended with something far more important. Trust. A growing number of customers not only chose Samskip, but returned. They planned their supply chains around a service they could rely on. Supported by strong local operations and cold chain expertise, fresh products moved consistently from origin to destination, exactly as planned.
In Sweden, where market conditions have become increasingly unpredictable, reliability is taking a different form. Rising fuel prices, new tolls, and shifting geopolitical dynamics are putting pressure on supply chains. Here, multimodal rail provides stability. High-capacity, scheduled connections reduce dependency on road transport and create a more predictable flow, allowing customers to stay in control even when the environment around them changes.
In Norway, reliability is defined by consistency you can plan around.
Across the Oslofjord and West Coast, our services, including weekend departures, are built to deliver exactly that. Not occasionally, but consistently. With strong on-time performance, customers can depend on fixed schedules that support stable and predictable supply chains.
But reliability here is not only about keeping time. It is also about adapting to what customers need.
With multipurpose (MPP) vessels, flexibility becomes part of the service. From standard cargo to more complex shipments, the ability to handle a wide range of goods within one solution adds another layer of reliability. It means fewer compromises, and more control across the full journey.
At the same time, ongoing investments in new-build vessels continue to strengthen the foundation of these services. Not only as a future promise, but as a clear step toward maintaining high standards in performance, efficiency, and dependability.
In a market where both reliability and cost control are top priorities, this combination of consistency, flexibility, and continuous improvement makes a real difference.
Between Poland and Iceland, reliability is defined by control and care across the full journey. Whether transporting a single pallet or oversized cargo, customers rely on a fully integrated, door-to-door solution. One network, one team, and one clear flow from origin to destination. It is this level of coordination and visibility that brings confidence to every shipment.
In Spain, reliability has been built through proximity and local expertise. Since establishing operations in Santander and Bilbao, growth has exceeded expectations. Not by chance, but through strong customer relationships and dedicated teams who understand the importance of consistency. When the same people oversee a shipment from start to finish, reliability becomes personal.
And in Italy, reliability is also about responsibility. Together with our long-standing partner Hupac, we were awarded a CO₂ reduction certificate, recognizing a 93% reduction in emissions compared to road transport. A measurable result, independently verified, showing that reliability and sustainability can go hand in hand when multimodal solutions are applied at scale.
Across all these examples, one thing becomes clear.
Reliability is not defined by what we say.
It is defined by what our customers experience. It is built in the details, in every connection made and in every promise kept. We are proud to be pioneers, but firstly, we listen.
Samskip. Every journey counts.
