To mark the occasion this year, colleagues across the business were invited to nominate a woman who they felt proudly represents the spirit of Samskip. The response was inspiring, with thoughtful nominations highlighting the positive impact women across our organization make every day.

After careful consideration and receiving the most votes from colleagues, we are proud to recognize Björk Ágústsdóttir, Manager Finance Operations in Iceland, as the colleague representing the women of Samskip for International Women’s Day 2026.

Björk has been with Samskip for over 20 years, and is widely recognized by her colleagues as an inspiring and warm-hearted leader who combines strong professionalism with genuine kindness in everything she does.

Over the years, she has built a supportive and inclusive working environment where colleagues feel valued, motivated, and truly part of a team. Particularly during periods of change, Björk has guided her department with calm, stability, and quiet strength.
