Samskip supports Royal Swinkels in achieving sustainability commitments by means of Multimodal logistics solutions.
In line with its vision to pass on an even more flourishing company to future generations, family business Royal Swinkels constantly looks into ways to pioneer sustainable solutions in its supply chain.
When it comes down to the transport of the broad portfolio of brands in beers, malts and non-alcoholic drinks, the company is committed to continuously reducing its carbon footprint. Together with longstanding partner Van Berkel Logistics in the Netherlands, this mindset has led to a custom-made solution to further decarbonize.
Using the Inland Terminal Veghel with its central location, Samskip offers a multimodal service in cooperation with Van Berkel Logistics. This collaboration, combined with the involvement of customers, is serving both business and the environment as it is a true example of the modal shift, taking trucks from the road to inland shipping and rail.
The only way forward in accelerating sustainable logistics is to collaborate and work together by a shared ambition of standing as one, learn and grow together which is the shared conclusion of all parties involved.
All partners agree that a successful implementation of a multimodal solution requires close cooperation throughout the whole chain. With the right planning all partners can benefit from the many advantages that can be achieved with multimodal transportation.
