Different routes, cargo types and regulations require specialised and high quality equipment. As Samskip provides a wide range of trucks, trailers, vessels and containers, we are always able to offer you the right equipment for your specific cargo.
Samskip owns and operates around 80 trains within Europe.
High frequency rail services connect destinations across Europe, both door-to-door (including collection) and terminal-to-terminal, transported using a wide range of (mega) Huckepack, coil and Joloda trailers, containers, and owned trains. In all cases shippers can make real choices based on frequency of service, transit times, freight rates and sustainability.
From our own rail hub in Duisburg, Germany and from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, we control the entire chain to ensure your goods are delivered on time while avoiding fluctuating fuel prices, driving hour restrictions, traffic jams and German Maut.
Samskip also operates a modern fleet of more than 1,000 trucks, trailers and chassis across the entire Europe:

13.6m Huckepack trailers
Samskip-owned curtainsided trailers offer the possibility of side and top loading. All of these trailers are equipped with 13 Spanset securing systems and 60 anti-slip mats and can be sealed with a standard TIR line. With this equipment we can load up to 28 tons, in combined road-rail transportation.
