Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics is proud to offer its customers the first Mega Containers. The Samskip Mega Containers are tested and available on the Italian Route. The Mega boxes offer additional height and create interesting opportunities for shippers with low weight cargo or cargo with bigger dimensions. In some cases the additional height makes it possible to ship up to 30% additional cargo in one container.

On the initiative of Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics, the Technical University in Delft (NL) has developed a model which can be used to objectively calculate differences in the environmental impact of transport solutions. In the last year Samskip has already been using the model to calculate the emmisions for many of its customers.
