Connecting Spain, Greece and Turkey
By combining rail services with short sea and road solutions, Samskip provides an answer to the increasing market demand in the Mediterranean. Three services have been set up to enlarge and broaden the Samskip MCL network.
The Mediterranean service (Med Service) is a triangulating service which connects Spain, Greece, Turkey with the Northern and Western European markets.Integrating the East coast of Spain, Greece and Turkey in Samskip's network facilitates our customer's trade and transport needs.
Turkey Services
The Turkey service offers two connections. The first is a direct link between Rotterdam and Halkali rail station in Istanbul. This opens up the Turkish market and connects it to the existing Samskip MCL network, a good opportunity for our customers to also broaden their market or shift production location to Turkey. The second connections is a combination between a rail and a shortsea service via the East coast of Spain.

Greek Services
The Greek service is a direct link between Rotterdam and both Thessaloniki and Athens regions. Thessaloniki is served by rail, Athens is served by both rail and ferry connections.
