The transport solution for non standard cargo
For oversized (out of gauge) cargo the Samskip flatracks have proven to be the ideal equipment. Cargo can be loaded onto the flatracks via the end, side and top and can than be moved throughout Europe via road (special transport) and the Samskip multimodal service network. Just like the containers, the flatracks are loaded onto ships, trains and trucks to be moved to various destinations across Europe.
The Samskip flatrack equipment
Samskip offers 20ft and 40ft flatracks. Samskip was and still is closely involved in the initial and further development of the flatrack equipment. Flatracks are ideal to transport overlength, over-width and over-height cargo. They are presented with lashing equipment, and tarpaulins to cover the cargo. The equipment can be loaded from the end, side and top, with the maximum cargo weights as per country regulations.
