Samskip Container Vessel Management

24.10.2016

Samskip's dedication to safety and efficiency reflects our principles and our obligations to crews, vessels, customers, suppliers and the environment. It also reflects our passion and diligence in conducting our operations with integrity and the highest business ethics while safeguarding human life and the environment.

Samskip has therefore decided to further ramp up its technical abilities by creating a dedicated in-house Vessel Management Team. By managing technical operations, safety, security and purchasing services in-house, Samskip will assure commercial and quality excellence. We will invest further in onshore and offshore personnel, who we consider to be our most valuable asset.

The technical management team will be drawn from those with a background in both education and shipping disciplines to create the right technical and operational mix.  Its aim is to disseminate substantial technical know-how and to assure quality in every single operation of the vessels.

Together, the ship and shore teams will be able to leverage strong and mutually beneficial relationships with partners, manufacturers, shipyards, Class and Flag, and trading companies. The professional relations based on merit and trust that Samskip has developed through the years will be enhanced further and the upgraded transparency at the operational level will enable us to manage our vessels even more successfully.

We would like to thank Q-Shipping for its efforts on our behalf to date.

Finally, we would like to express our commitment to supporting and developing our crew and fleet. We look forward to further support and co-operation from our personnel now, during the transition period and for the future of safe and efficient fleet operation.
