Sponsoring King Penguins at Rotterdam Zoo
We are very happy and proud to announce that, as of 1 September 2011, Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics will be sponsoring the group of King Penguins at least for one year at Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands!
Local brand awareness
Awarded best Dutch Zoo by Zoover.com May 2011, Rotterdam Zoo is not only for the little ones but also for the grown-ups! With its visitor count of around 1.5 million people a year, it's one of the biggest attractions in the Netherlands and therefore a perfect way for Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics to increase (local) brand awareness and to show our support for the local community.
Conservation
The most important reason to start sponsoring Rotterdam Zoo is that they, like us, represent sustainability. Rotterdam Zoo's main goal is to contribute to nature's preservation; with breeding programs, scientific research and through supporting local preservation projects this goal can be achieved.
Why King Penguins?
We feel that the King Penguins are a perfect fit with our own organization, being fast in the water, they can be found in different locations around the world, and they successfully work as a team.
We hope the public gain a great deal of enjoyment from these wonderful animals during their visits to the Rotterdam Zoo, which is, by the way, the only zoo in the Netherlands where you can see King Penguins!
