Green Reefers and Silver Sea establish a joint venture company SilverGreen AS
Silver Sea AS, a norwegian reefer vessel operator, 50% owned by Samskip, and Green Reefers AS are pleased to announce the establishment of the joint venture company SilverGreen AS with effect from today. SilverGreen will operate a core fleet of 14 smaller sized reefer vessels (below 200.000 cubic feet) primarily serving the Northern European market.
The primary purpose of the joint venture is to ensure ongoing and improved services to our customers with a larger fleet of vessels. With the establishment of SilverGreen the flexibility of service and quality of tonnage available will be improved.
SilverGreen will start coordinating operations as of today, 1. July 2010. For all practical purposes, customers and other relevant parties are asked to maintain contact with the same employees from Silver Sea and Green Reefers as they have previously done. All contact information will remain the same until further notice. From 1. August 2010 the company's operation will be gathered under the same roof at Ulsmågsveien 7, Bergen.
