Samskip appoints new agents in Poland

DSC09344Europe's leading multimodal container operator Samskip has appointed a new local agent in Poland. With a fast developing market and increasing volumes on the existing Samskip services to and from this area, Samskip felt it appropriate to review the set up in Poland. As per direct, Burger Poland will be the new official agent in Poland, representing the services of the entire Samskip Group.

 

 

New Samskip agent in Poland

Jens Holger Nielsen, CEO of Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics, explains the broadening of the agency network towards Poland.

For several years Burger Poland has already proven itself as a reliable agent for our Reefer Logistics division. Thanks to the growing Polish volumes in Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics, the time was right to extend our cooperation and appoint Burger as the official agent for all Samskip services to and from Poland.”

The Samskip Services to and from Poland

With its door-door container services Samskip is able to cover the whole of Poland. It offers a wide variety of equipment possibilities such as the 45ft pallet wide high cube containers and flat rack equipment. Samskip operates frequent rail connections from the main intermodal terminals in Poland. The terminals are located in Poznań, Wroclow, Slawków, Lódź, Warsaw and Gdańsk. Via the main hub in Rotterdam the rail services connect with the Samskip Network for on carriage via the Samskip Shortsea and Intermodal routes into Western, Northern and Southern Europe. The North of Poland is covered via the Samskip weekly short sea services calling into Gdansk and Gdynia.
