25.11.2009

fjolskylduhjalp_nov_2009Samskip in Iceland has decided not to send Christmas cards to customers this year, but instead donate the equivalent amount to the Icelandic Family Aid.

“We are very pleased to be able to contribute to this good work performed here” said Samskip CEO Ásbjörn Gíslason when donating a cheque of ISK 250,000 as the company´s Christmas present.

Ásbjörn is certain that Samskip customers will respect and acknowledge this decision and wishes them Happy Holidays.

“We can surely use this donation for our Christmas contributions and we thank Samskip for this generous donation” Family Aid Chairman Matthías Imsland said.  There is a growing need for assistance and donations like this one set the ground for our volunteer work.”
