Samskip at Seafood Show, TransRussia and Multimodal 2008
12 years at Seafood show in Brussels.
For the twelfth consecutive year, Samskip participated in Seafood Processing Europe– the world’s largest seafood show when combined with its sister exhibition, European Seafood Exposition.
“The exhibition was a success for Samskip. We met with our customers, and some new customers, as well as other guests at our stand in Brussels,” says Samskip´s brand director Anna Guðný Aradóttir. “Personal contact is a very important element of our operations and this year we were very pleased with the professionalism and great mix of visitors at our stand. We were very busy the whole show and quite convinced it will be fruitful for Samskip.
Samskip´s Global Footprint in international forwarding and reefer logistics continues to grow, and Samskip´s services cover all strategic destinations for seafood and other refrigerated goods, including Asia, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, the Americas, Africa and Europe.
With decades of experience in logistics management, cold storage, terminal handling, freight forwarding, documentation and local distribution, Samskip provides its clients with specific solutions to suit individual needs. “The huge Brussels exhibition is therefore an ideal venue for us to demonstrate our services,” says Mrs. Aradóttir, “and our stand has always been a popular meeting place – a place where people stop for a nice chat and get acquainted with what we can do for them.”
TransRussia show in Moscow
From 22nd till 25th of April Samskip TransRussia 2008 was held in Moscow. With 450 companies from 25 countries this is the biggest transport exhibition in Russia.
Samskip Russia participated also this year with its own booth. All business units like SMCL/Scanbalt, SBCX Samskip Baltic Container Express, Reefer logistic and forwarding have been represented. Also great customers interest has been shown on Samskip’s presentation of the own Caspian and Black Sea Service, as well as on agency representations of MOL Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Combisped Hanseatische Spedition, Lübeck. A successful exhibition with a high frequency of customers on the Samskip booth has been achieved.

Multimodal 2008 in Birmingham
From 22nd till 24th of April Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics was present at the new UK Multimodal show at Birmingham. Being a true multimodal transport company, Samskip’s presence was of course a must.
Although the event will have to grow its amount of visitors over the upcoming years, Samskip welcomed many current and new relations to the stand. It was a great opportunity to chat with relations, discuss business and introduce our services portfolio. We want to thank all crew and visitors for making this first edition of Multimodal 2008 a success.
