New Samskip office in Sweden
Samskip has opened its third sales office in Sweden to further strengthen the company´s services. Located in Helsingborg, the new office operates as a hub for the Nordic and Baltic region and Samskip’s multimodal links to the UK/North Continent, and complements the business activities of Samskip’s existing Swedish agency offices in Gothenburg and Varberg.
Samskip´s growing operations in Sweden consist of extensive container and rail transport to and from the Continent, weekly sailing routes to and from the west coasts of South America and the Caribbean, and an ever-expanding worldwide reefer and forwarding logistics services.
The Helsingborg office will be headed by newly appointed Sales Manager Erik E Hansen. Mr. Hansen holds a degree in business and maritime law, and worked for three years as a trade analyst at Maersk´s Nordic headquarters in Gothenburg, focusing on inter-European services, before joining Samskip in Helsingborg.
Commenting on the expansion, Birna Ődefors, managing director of Samskip AB, said:
“Many of our major customers are situated in the South Swedish market, and we will become even better at servicing our customers´ requirements by having our sales force conveniently situated in their vicinity.”
