UK International Temperature Controlled Distribution

Grimsby based International reefer logistics operator, Samskip Limited, will launch a new product effective from 1st February 2006 aimed at servicing the growing seafood sector in the North East Lincolnshire region. Samskip's UK & international temperature controlled distribution service will offer full and part load trucking for fresh and frozen palletized goods across the UK and the Continent.

Mark Clayton, Samskip's Logistics Services Manager comments "Our existing local client base has demanded for sometime a complementary value-added product for the storage and distribution of fresh and frozen goods. We frequently have demands to supply trucks to distribute goods to France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Germany as well as UK wide destinations." Samskip's transport planning center located at Stallingborough near Grimsby, will be co-ordinating the daily truck departures. Mark Clayton added "Our transport planning team has international and national CPC credentials and will be in daily contact with our trucking partners and customers, to focus on service and to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of these types of sensitive cargoes."

Samskip's Uk Reefer Logistics activities comprises of the handling of perishable goods and food products on a global basis supported by local terminal handling, trucking, cold-storage, customs and associated documentation routines.
