News about the sunk ship M/V Jökufell
We are very sad to inform that the authorities have found four of the 11 crew members from the sunk ship dead.
The search and rescue operation led by the authorities at Faroe Islands continues looking for the two crew members still unaccounted for. The five rescued sailors were all in their survival suites.
The best is currently done to support them in this difficult and tragic moment. Assistance is provided by professional crisis psychologists to the rescued crew members.
The ships managers are working closely with the authorities in charge of the casualty investigation to find out exactly what have happened. The reason why the ship has sunk is still unknown.
