Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics will introduce a new weekly service linking the Netherlands with Norway's West Coast. With this new service, the company offers direct calls between Rotterdam and Hamburg and the ports of Stavanger, Haugesund, Bergen and Ålesund in Norway. Using its own fleet of equipment, Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics provides this service on a door-to-door basis, whilst offering a quay-to-quay service for shippers' owned containers.
Green Reefers ASA and Silver Sea AS are pleased to announce the establishment of the joint venture company SilverGreen AS with effect from today. SilverGreen will operate a core fleet of 14 smaller sized reefer vessels (below 200.000 cubic feet) primarily serving the Northern European market.

Recently, there have been some changes regarding the Iberia route for both Spain and Portugal. We now offer an additional sailing from Rotterdam to Bilbao. In addition, we have a new weekly call at Antwerp on our sailing to/from Spain and Portugal.

Silver Sea AS, a Norwegian reefer transport company 50% owned by Samskip, and Green Reefers AS have entered into a letter of intent for the establishment of a joint venture company, operating a fleet of 14 smaller-sized reefer vessels, primarily serving Northern European customers.

Samskip is now participating for the fifteenth time in the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels, the largest seafood fair in the world. The exhibition opened this morning and many customers have stopped by the stand already, along with other guests.

As from week 15, Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics will start a new weekly service between Zeebrugge in Belgium and Teesport in the United Kingdom. The Samskip vessels will leave Zeebrugge on Friday evenings and will leave Teesport on Sunday afternoons for arrival back in Zeebrugge on Mondays. Samskip will offer the service on a door to door basis with its own fleet of equipment as well as on a quay to quay basis for shippers' owned equipment.
Samskip has renewed its sponsor agreement with Iceland Handball Federation for 2 years throughout 2011. The company has been one of IHF´s main sponsors in recent years.

In 2009 the barge MS Theodela has successfully executed a frequent schedule between the Rotterdam harbour and Port of Duisburg. Both Samskip, Prolog and the MS Theodela are looking forward to the next 1000 sailings and by doing so taking around 80.000 truck loads of the busy European roads.
